NexSent ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our email marketing and WhatsApp messaging platform at nexsent.in (the "Service").

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash). We never store passwords in plain text.

Subscriber Data

When you import contacts or collect subscribers through forms, that data is stored on your behalf. You are the data controller for your subscriber data; NexSent acts as a data processor.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the Service, including pages visited, features used, campaigns sent, and performance metrics. This data helps us improve the platform.

Email Tracking Data

When your recipients open emails or click links, we record these events to provide analytics. This includes IP addresses, timestamps, and user agents of recipients who interact with your emails.

WhatsApp Data

When you use our WhatsApp messaging features, we collect WhatsApp phone numbers and contact information, message content (templates, broadcasts, and chatbot conversations), delivery status data (sent, delivered, and read receipts), WhatsApp Business Account information (WABA ID, phone number ID), and Meta Business Platform integration data (access tokens and business verification status).

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers with industry-standard security measures. We use encrypted connections (TLS) for all data in transit, and sensitive data like passwords is cryptographically hashed using bcrypt.

Subscriber data is logically separated between accounts. No user can access another user's contacts, campaigns, or analytics.

WhatsApp messages are transmitted via Meta's encrypted Cloud API. WhatsApp access tokens are stored encrypted at rest. WhatsApp conversation data is stored with the same security measures as email data.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Campaign analytics and delivery logs are retained for up to 12 months. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share data with:

  • Infrastructure providers who host our servers (under data processing agreements)
  • Law enforcement when required by valid legal process
  • Meta Platforms (WhatsApp Business API): Required for WhatsApp message delivery. Subject to Meta's Privacy Policy and WhatsApp Business Terms of Service

WhatsApp message content is processed through Meta's servers as required by the WhatsApp Business API.

WhatsApp Messaging Policy

WhatsApp

The following policies apply to WhatsApp messaging through NexSent:

  • Messages sent through NexSent's WhatsApp feature use Meta's Cloud API
  • All WhatsApp message templates must be approved by Meta before sending
  • Users must obtain proper opt-in consent before sending WhatsApp messages
  • WhatsApp messages are subject to Meta's Commerce Policy, Business Messaging Policy, and WhatsApp Business Terms
  • NexSent is not responsible for template rejections or account restrictions imposed by Meta
  • WhatsApp conversation data is retained for 12 months, consistent with email log retention

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or sell cookie data.

The Service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
